We've finally posted a bunch of wedding photos to flickr . . . . The set named "Denise and Jennings" contains the photos from Stehlik photography. The other sets contain photos contributed by folks who attended the wedding . . . in a few days a few more of the "non-professional" sets will be posted.

Anyway, folks can order prints and things directly from flickr . . . the steps are as follows:

1. Go to flickr.
   
2. Create an account . . . it's free, and an account is required to print.
   
3. After creating an account, go back to our page on flickr and make sure you're signed-in.
   
4. Select any of the sets, and then select a picture.
   
5. If you like a photo, click "All Sizes" to view or download the photos in different sizes. You can print the downloaded images at most drugstores, camera stores, etc.
   
6. You can also print directly from flickr . . . when viewing a photo click "Prints and More," and select the print size you'd like to order.
   
7. After you're done choosing the photos you want to print, you need to go to your "cart" to complete the purchase . . . there's a shopping cart icon at the upper right-hand corner . . . at this point just follow the onscreen directions and you should be good to go.

Now, Denise hates having her photo taken. She's been a good sport for me as I need to photograph every trip or occasion, but still . . . she'd rather not have her photo taken.

And as a few folks know, I can't stand wedding photographers . . . most take awful photos, their contracts contain intellectual property/copyright language that is more than unkind to the married couple, and their entire business model is as dated as that of record companies . . . wedding photographers are generally a miserable lot.

Anyway, we were so impressed by Stehlik Photography . . . they were professional, friendly and gracious . . . we cannot say enough about their efforts (but I try will soon, when we share with folks the photographs they took . . .).

So, our wedding has come and gone . . . Denise and I could not have asked for a better wedding. We really cannot say enough about the kindness and generosity of all the folks who attended . . . .

Denise and I met at work on Columbus Day, October 9, 2006. Even though it was a holiday, we both went into work that day as we had work to do . . . a few months after that day I finally worked-up the nerve to ask Denise out for a cup of tea, and well, folks know the rest of the story.

Anyway, last Friday Denise's co-workers from UMass, and mine from EOHHS, threw two great parties to celebrate our wedding . . . (and yeah, we didn't get much done that day).

Denise's co-workers threw the first party of the day . . . lunch was great, the cake beautiful, and everyone was extremely generous . . . a special thanks goes to Jillian, Terri, and Alexa.







After work, we went over to Sister Sorrel for hors d'oeuvres and drinks . . . a special thanks goes to Jim and Scott for organizing things . . . .




All in all it was a fun day, and we can't thank our co-workers enough . . . .

Hey, Denise and I have been cast as extras in the next Simpsons movie . . .

No, not really.

So, a few folks have noted that Shirl is paying for dinner in the photo from the post entitled Happy Birthday Shirl! . . . .

That photo is from a previous visit to Boston, and yes Shirl did pay for dinner that evening . . . but I can assure you she did not pay for her Birthday this year (she was at Denise's shower).

The funny thing is that the Burke's aren't good sports about letting Denise and I pay for dinner . . . in fact, when we go out to eat with them, I've resorted to paying the waitstaff a few bucks to give me the check, even if Rick or Shirl asks for it.

Anyway, I just feel that it's only fair that Denise and I should pick-up the tab every once in a while . . . in fact, I am so committed to this stance that I decided to put my money where my mouth is, to walk the walk (so to speak) . . . so, I created the Ricky Baby credit card . . .

Edit: Several folks have asked if the card is real . . . yes, it is. This isn't photoshopped . . . .

Last weekend Vicki, Lisa, Shirley, Beth, Lynn, and Patty surprised Denise by flying into town and throwing her a shower . . . Rick, and my mother called in, and I joined for a drink before the shower started . . . .

We went to Ryles Jazz Club for brunch Sunday morning . . . for those in the Boston area, Ryles is worth checking out . . . our food was great.

So, we've had some technical difficulties at Denise and Jennings, and hence the lack of posts lately . . . it appears the problems with Blogger are resolved, but we're still having problems with the site's host.

I know some folks attending the wedding will be visiting Miami for the first time. The NY Times has a nice article on visiting Miami . . . you know, what to do, where to eat & drink, and where to shop . . . .
