So, with the wedding being held in South Beach, Miami, we envision most folks will be traveling, and thus will need a place to stay.

The Palms Hotel (you know, where the wedding will be held) is one option . . . it's a nice hotel, but there are other options . . . .

Circa 39 - another hotel within easy walking distance of The Palms . . . Circa 39 is providing a group rate, and will hold 10 rooms at this rate until April 29, after which room and rate will be offered on a space availability basis.

Hotel RIU Miami - another option, right next door to The Palms. The group rate for The RIU has been maxed-out, but rooms are nice, and reasonably priced . . . .

While folks are down in South Beach for the wedding, they're welcome to attend a couple of other events at The Palms Hotel . . .

First, on the Friday evening before the wedding (that'd be May 30th) . . . there is a BBQ rehearsal dinner open to everyone in town for the wedding. Rather than having a small, family-only rehearsal dinner, we decided to hold something where folks who traveled down can get to know one another . . . the BBQ starts around 6 pm on the grounds of the hotel, and there will be food and drink . . . and hopefully the cat that we met at the tasting will show up.

Second, brunch will be served Sunday morning at the hotel as well . . . a chance for folks to grab a meal and say goodbye before they leave town . . . .

Now, we do need a semi-accurate head count to prepare this . . . so email Shirley to let her know if you plan on attending any of the following:

• Friday evening BBQ rehearsal dinner
• Sunday morning brunch
• Both the BBQ and brunch

So, the wedding will be held at The Palms Hotel in South Beach, Miami on May 31 . . . the ceremony starts at 5:30 in the afternoon, and the reception follows . . . it should be a good time and we hope folks can make it.

Now, we know folks are receiving invitations with the link to this site, so we decided to post Denise and Jennings even if it wasn't completely ready . . . over the next few days a bunch of helpful links will be added, including information about the wedding, hotels and accommodations, Miami information, and an all important poll.

Also, I decided at the last minute to change the site to a blog . . . this way I can post updates about the wedding, as well as random photos (and I expect a few stories about Denise and I will make there way up here as well).
